Project Manager
The Position
As the Project Manager, you will play a lead role in planning, coordinating and overseeing the successful implementation of client-based projects and deliverables. This role involves setting project expectations, managing timelines and ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met with a focus on quality. The Project Manager leads projects from initiation through close-out, managing timelines, and ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met with a focus on quality. This is a six-month contract with the possibility of extension.
What You’ll Do
Plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of client-focused technical projects and deliverables within the defined project process.
Define and manage project expectations, timelines and schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones.
Lead and manage full project lifecycle activities, including scope definition, scheduling and resource allocation and cost control.
Translate complex client requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for cross-functional teams.
Identify and resolve project risks and issues through analysis, problem-solving and research.
Collaborating with hardware, software and training team leads to gather and validate system requirements.
Maintain a strong focus on quality assurance throughout all phases of the project.
Drive client success and satisfaction from project kickoff through product implementation and lifestyle support.
Spearhead initiatives that involve significant technological transformations and organizational change management.
Contribute to the development and execution of strategic opportunities, including drafting and reviewing technical proposals.
Monthly project reporting to senior management.
What’s You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or diploma in engineering technology is preferred.
3-5 years of project management experience, PMP certified an asset.
Experience managing projects in Asana, Smartsheet, or other project management tools.
Experience preferably in Marine, Oil and Gas and Defense industry.
Proactive, positive, strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Strong problem-solving skills and communication skills.
A sound background for the adherence to business processes and procedures.
Must have the ability to be flexible, work independently, be self-motivated and a team player.
Criminal Record Check and valid Driver’s License with access to a vehicle.
