Supply Chain Manager
At Avalon Holographics, we’re building advanced holographic display technology that allows teams to interact with complex data in true 3D — without the need for headsets or glasses! Our systems bring digital information into a shared space, enabling multiple users to interact with the same visualization, collaborate in real time, and make better decisions.
Our technology supports industries where precision, clarity, and coordination matter, including defense, healthcare, and entertainment. These systems combine advanced optics, electronics, precision components, and custom-built hardware, requiring strong supplier relationships and disciplined sourcing to bring each build together.
We are a fast-moving tech startup where priorities evolve quickly and progress depends on people who take initiative. As we grow, we're looking for a Supply Chain Manager who is naturally curious and understands the importance of building strong working relationships across teams and vendors — someone who is adaptable and organized, stays ahead of potential risks, and looks ahead to connect the right people and keep work moving.
This role offers broad exposure across development and production activities and is well suited to someone motivated to take ownership and build their career in a fast-paced technical environment.
What You’ll Do
Act as the primary liaison between external manufacturers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
Build and manage strong working relationships with suppliers supporting prototype and production programs.
Manage production-level purchase agreements and support supplier contract activities.
Drive technical sourcing by partnering with engineering teams to identify new manufacturing partners and suppliers in support of product development goals.
Lead qualification of new suppliers to ensure reliability, capability, and production readiness.
Lead bill of materials (BOM) costing activities across development and production programs.
Provide production and development inputs to support financial forecasting and cash flow planning.
Manage lifecycle status of bill of materials components, identifying risks such as shortages or obsolescence.
Work closely with the Project Management team to incorporate supplier lead times and capacity into project timelines.
Coordinate supplier NDAs and support secure transfer of engineering documentation.
Support purchasing and procurement activities across development and production.
Partner with the Production team to support inventory management processes and materials readiness.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Degree in Engineering, Supply chain management, Business, or a related field.
Experience working in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, engineering, project management or operations environments.
Experience working in hardware manufacturing or startup environments is an asset.
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively and across engineering teams and technical vendors.
A proactive mindset that looks ahead, identifies risks early, and keeps work moving.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate challenges and find practical solutions when plans shift.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.
Strong communication skills and confidence working with vendors and internal teams.
Curious mindset with a desire to understand how complex products move from concept to production.
Comfortable working through unexpected challenges and maintaining momentum when priorities evolve.
If keeping moving parts aligned while building breakthrough tech excites you, we’d like to hear from you!
