Project Manager (18-Month Contract)

Solace Power Inc. is seeking to hire a Project Manager – Maternity Leave Replacement (18 months)

The Role: 

We're seeking a proactive, technically skilled Project Manager to lead complex Research & Development and product development initiatives. Working closely with our Senior Project Manager, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to turn ideas into execution, balancing priorities, managing timelines and budgets, and keeping projects moving from concept to completion. Your ability to bring clarity, coordination, and momentum to every stage of the project will help Solace design, build, and deliver innovative technology. 

Your Day-to-Day at Solace Power: 

• Lead day-to-day planning, coordination, and execution of multiple technical R&D and product development projects. 
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, and key deliverables. 
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, dependencies, and milestones. 
• Monitor project progress, risks, issues, and scope changes, driving timely mitigation strategies and resolutions. 
• Facilitate design reviews, project reviews, and key development stage-gate activities.   
• Manage communications with internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners. 
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management and product development practices. 

Must-Have Requirements: 

• Engineering or technical background with proven ability to collaborate effectively with development teams. 
• 2–3 years of experience in project management or project coordination within a technical environment. 
• PMP, Agile, or other project management certification. 
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint. 
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices. 
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. 
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. 
• Adaptable and solution-focused, with the ability to tailor project processes to business needs. 
• Experience applying both Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches. 

Nice to Have Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Electronics Engineering. 
• Experience in a startup or high-growth technology environment. 
• Experience with or certification in ISO 9001.
