The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL) is hiring a full-time, permanent IT Support Coordinator in St. John’s. Recruitment is being handled by ethree Consulting on behalf of CPSNL.

CPSNL regulates the practice of medicine and physician assisting in Newfoundland and Labrador in the public interest. Its responsibilities include licensing, professional conduct oversight, and quality assurance.
The role
Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Chief Operating and Privacy Officer, the IT Support Coordinator is the primary point of contact for day-to-day technology support and the liaison between staff, Council members, and external service providers. This entry-level position supports reliable, secure technology and offers opportunities to grow within a close-knit team.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Coordinate technology onboarding and offboarding, device setup, user accounts, access, and equipment logistics.
- Track and document service requests; coordinate repairs, warranty work, and vendor escalations.
- Maintain IT asset inventories, software subscriptions, licence allocation, and renewals, working with Corporate Services on agreements, budgeting, and compliance.
- Support meeting-room and audiovisual technology, including on-the-spot troubleshooting for Council meetings.
- Liaise between business users and IT providers, improve support processes, and reduce technology-related risks.
- Work with Corporate Services on the use, security, and evolution of artificial intelligence tools.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of hands-on IT support or coordinator experience.
- Experience supporting Windows devices and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with IT asset management and software/licence tracking.
- Strong troubleshooting, customer-service, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities, and explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and provide a satisfactory criminal record check.
