NASA Space Apps Challenge St. John's is the local event for NASA's annual global hackathon. Over one weekend, teams of students, developers, scientists, designers, and storytellers work on challenges written by NASA and its space agency partners, including the Canadian Space Agency, using open Earth and space data.

Participants can join in person at Memorial University or online. The event is free and open to everyone, and no space background is required. Teams of one to six people submit their projects by 11:59 PM on November 15, and top local projects are nominated for global judging. Participants under 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian.
