Hack the Port! 2026
Organized by Memorial University Security Group
Hack the Port! is a 24-hour cybersecurity competition for student teams of two to four, based on past cyberattacks against real ports.
Teams work to steal cargo from a simulated port, with volunteer support for less experienced teams. No cybersecurity experience is required, and a basic programming background such as first-year Python is enough to get started.
The event opens with check-in at 5:30 PM on Friday, followed by a welcome and hacking until 9:00 PM. Hacking resumes Saturday at 9:00 AM, with lunch provided, scheduled test runs, a final competition from 3:30 to 5:30 PM, and an awards ceremony at 5:30 PM. Prizes are awarded.
Registration is free, with one registration per team; free observer tickets are also available.
